Terms & Conditions

Please read these Terms & Conditions carefully before confirming your Aalaya booking. By confirming a booking with Aalaya, you acknowledge that you have read and agreed to these Terms & Conditions.

1. Bookings & Confirmation

All enquiries for Aalaya luxury picnics, Sip & Paint experiences, and styled celebrations across Melbourne are subject to date and equipment availability. A booking becomes officially confirmed only once Aalaya has received the required deposit or payment and provided a formal booking confirmation in writing.

2. Packages & Inclusions

Package inclusions are based on your selected Aalaya experience package as specified in your confirmation. All styled furniture, low timber tables, linens, cushions, tableware, artistic materials, and optional catering or grazing boards will be delivered, set up, and styled as agreed in your itinerary.

3. Payment

Explain that payment requirements will be communicated at the time of booking and that a booking is not secured until the required payment has been received.

4. Cancellations & Refunds

Explain Aalaya's cancellation and refund conditions clearly and professionally. Leave the wording flexible enough to match Aalaya's final cancellation policy rather than inventing specific refund percentages or timeframes.

5. Rescheduling & Changes

Explain that customers should contact Aalaya as soon as possible if they need to change their date, location, guest numbers or other booking details. Changes are subject to availability and may incur additional costs where applicable.

6. Weather & Outdoor Events

Explain that many Aalaya experiences take place outdoors and weather can be unpredictable. If severe or unsafe weather affects an event, Aalaya may discuss options such as relocation, rescheduling or modifying the setup where reasonably possible. Refer customers to the applicable cancellation conditions.

7. Location, Access & Permits

Explain that customers are responsible for providing accurate location details and ensuring Aalaya has reasonable access to the setup location. Public locations such as parks and beaches may be subject to council, venue or other applicable requirements and permits.

8. Setup & Pack-Down

Explain that Aalaya manages setup and pack-down. Customers should provide reasonable access at the agreed time and ensure the setup area is ready and accessible.

9. Care of Aalaya Equipment

Explain that customers and guests are expected to take reasonable care of Aalaya's furniture, rugs, cushions, tableware, décor and other equipment. Customers may be responsible for damage or loss caused by unreasonable use or negligence.

10. Food, Drinks & Personal Items

Explain that customers are responsible for food, cakes, personal decorations and belongings they bring unless otherwise agreed. Aalaya does not provide alcohol.

11. Guest Safety & Responsibility

Explain that guests must behave responsibly and follow reasonable safety instructions. Parents or guardians remain responsible for children attending an event.

12. Photography & Social Media

Include a simple section explaining that Aalaya may photograph its setups for portfolio and marketing purposes where appropriate, while customer privacy and consent will be respected. Avoid making claims about photography consent that have not been established.

13. Changes or Cancellation by Aalaya

Explain that Aalaya may need to modify, relocate or cancel an event in circumstances outside its reasonable control, including severe weather, unsafe conditions, venue restrictions or other circumstances affecting the safe delivery of the experience.

14. Liability & Australian Consumer Law

Include appropriate, balanced wording stating that nothing in these Terms & Conditions is intended to exclude, restrict or modify any rights or remedies that cannot legally be excluded under Australian Consumer Law or other applicable legislation.

15. Privacy

Explain that personal information is handled in accordance with Aalaya's Privacy Policy and include a link to the Privacy Policy page.

16. Governing Law

State that these Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws applicable in Victoria, Australia.
